Figurative Painting w Jen Olsen

Art Assembly is back this Spring!

Let loose with Acrylics and Jen Olsen. While you may have lots of the materials already, below is a selection of relevant materials available at Queenstown Art Supplies.

Materials list:

• 2x A3 or A2 sized canvas boards or similar

• 10 sheets of A2 newsprint 

• A4 or A3 mixed media paper pad

• Charcoal: willow and compressed

• Acrylic paints (not “open”, too long drying): white plus a tube/bottle of each in any hue: red, yellow, blue 

• Matte modpodge or matte acrylic medium

• Paint brushes: small, medium, large (5-10cm)

• Paper towels or rags 

• Scissors

• Protective clothes/coveralls – it’s a fun, messy day!

• A4 or A3-ish scraps of cardboard (optional) to paint on – dig in your recycling!

• Fixative spray (optional), for sealing charcoal, N.B. only use outside

• White chalk/pastel (optional)
