These Saibku are suitable for many painting styles, including Japanese painting, ink painting, and watercolor painting.
The “Saiboku Shimbi" colour range encapsulates the vividness of traditional Japanese colors and tones.
The black “Shin-jirushi Kuretake" produces deep and elegant ink colours for calligraphy while the "Gaboku Ume-jirushi Sansui" produces refreshing and deep blue ink colour.
One of the main features of the ”Saiboku Shimbi” series is the vividness of the ink colors. Although the colours of Saiboku are generally easy to darken by mixing them, they retain maximum saturation and vividness. Depending on dilution, you can achieve a spectrum of results from vivid transparent colours to more 'calm' colours.
If the artworks are painted with deep colours, applying a fixative spray is recommended after the artworks are completely dried.
